Pictures at an Exhibition - First, the famous Mussorgsky piano work orchestrated for wind quintet and piano. Then, a new work of the same title and theme composed by living American composer Fiona Hickie in 2011. While each of these works were conceived as a response to paintings in an art gallery, we will turn the tables and instead provide materials for the AUDIENCE to create art during the concert in response to the music that they hear. Whether you're a world-renowned artist yourself, an art amateur who can barely draw stick-figures, or a young child barely old enough to hold a crayon, you really don’t want to miss this interactive experience.
